Area Police Agencies Attend Drug Interdiction Training

Lawrence County, KY — Police Officers from throughout the Tri-State area met in Louisa last Thursday and Friday for drug interdiction training. The class which was hosted by D.I.C.E. (Drug Intervention Co-operative Enforcement) and the Kenova, West Virginia, Police Department drew 40 officers from 17 different departments and drug task force units on drug interdiction. The class, taught by the Ohio State Highway Patrol Drug Interdiction Division, increased the networking between multiple agencies and gave those in attendance a better understanding of how the drugs are being distributed and shipped within the Tri-State area.
