When natural disasters strike our region, many times the Red Cross is the first to offer assistance. However, local volunteers often have to wait hours or even days for a Red Cross disaster response vehicle to arrive from hundreds of miles away. However, that all changed today with the announcement of a $150,000 dollar grant from Kentucky Power. EKB News reporter Shannon Deskins was there when the announcement was made and brings us this report.
