Man Arrested For Being $12,028.00 Behind In Child Support

Martin County, KY — A Martin County man, arrested for being $12,028.00 behind on child support, is no stranger to law enforcement. According to the arrest citation, 41-year-old Christopher Maynard of Pilgrim, attempted to evade Martin County Sheriff Deputies by running behind his residence and hiding under a camper. Deputies say Maynard refused commands to come out from under the camper and Deputies used pepper spray under the camper. Deputies assisted Maynard out from under the camper. Maynard again did not comply with Deputies commands but as Deputies finally handcuffed Maynard, he admitted to them that he was high on meth. In this incident, Maynard was charged with Public Intoxication due to a controlled substance, Fleeing or Evading Police, Possession of Drug paraphernalia along with Flagrant Non-Support. Maynard was also arrested back in April by Kentucky State Police in an incident that involved Maynard, a female and a missing tooth. The female, Lara Davis, wanted to leave the residence and began packing her belongings when the search began for a missing tooth. As the Trooper assisted in the search for the tooth he found a pill bottle in which, he found numerous pills which Davis stated some were oxycodone. Both Maynard and Davis were arrested in that incident. The tooth was never found.
