Mueller probe: Read the charges for yourself

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Court records related to special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into possible ties between President Donald Trump’s campaign and Russian operatives were unsealed today.

Those records indicate three people have been charged so far, and one has already pleaded guilty.

Paul Manafort and Richard Gates

Paul Manafort, the president’s former campaign manager, and his business associate, Richard Gates, were the first indictment to be announced. Both men have surrendered to authorities are expected to appear in court this afternoon for arraignment.

Manafort and Gates face charges related to a scheme to hide and launder money from consulting work performed for Ukrainian government and political leaders.

George Papadopoulos

In addition, George Papadopoulos, Trump’s former foreign policy campaign advisor, has been charged and has already pleaded guilty to making false statement. The Papadopoulos case is more closely related to the original Russia probe.
