PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County man is in jail, charged with his brother’s murder.

Harold D. Brewer, 37, of Collins Highway, was arrested yesterday afternoon. Police say he shot his brother, 48-year-old Greg Brewer, multiple times early yesterday morning, killing him. He then allegedly moved the body from the crime scene to around the side of his residence.

Police were called to the scene when they received a tip from someone who saw the body in Brewer’s yard.

When police arrived, they allegedly found Brewer in possession of antidepressants not in their proper container.

Brewer has been charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and prescription not in its proper container.

He is being held in the Pike County Detention Center.
