PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County woman is facing misdemeanor charges, following a bizarre incident at Pikeville Medical Center over the weekend.

Police were called to the hospital around 3 a.m. Sunday, over reports of a naked woman sitting in the flower bed outside of the emergency room.

When officers arrived, they found Bridgett Mullins, 44, of Ashcamp, allegedly still sitting in the flowerbed, completely nude. When questioned, Mullins reportedly told officers she wanted to “become one with Mother Earth.”

After refusing several requests to put on her clothes or else be arrested, officers then tried to cuff Mullins, when she allegedly became combative, knocking the two officers out of the flowerbed and onto the pavement. Police say it ultimately required both officers and two hospital security guards to restrain Mullins.

Mullins was taken to jail and charged with indecent exposure, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. She has since been release pending trial.
