Dickenson County, VA — Drug seizure funds are going to good use in Dickenson County, Virginia. Dickenson County Sheriff Scott Stanley used the funds obtained by the Narcotics Division and Southwest Virginia Drug Task Force to purchase and equip all deputies with brand new ballistic vests and outer carriers. Sheriff Stanley says this is the first time the entire department has been issued new ballistic vests. The total cost for the equipment was $22,500.00. The Dickenson County Sheriff’s Office also applied for and was award a grant that will reimburse half of the cost of the equipment purchase.
