Students and local outdoor enthusiasts took part in the 3rd Annual “Lucky Duck Float Fest” provided by the City of Pikeville and UPIKE. Pikeville’s Director of Tourism, Jimmy Taylor says that the entrance point starts behind the Holiday Inn Express and ends at Texas Roadhouse, which the restaurant provided food to the floaters. He mentions the float lasts around 2-3 hours depending on the flow, but it’s a great opportunity for new students attending UPIKE or high school to get together and relax through the stress and anxiety of going back to school.
