Eastern Kentucky is finally getting much needed rain after more than a month with no measurable rainfall. However, with the rain also came dozens of crashes. Officials at Kentucky State Police Post 9 say troopers worked 12 vehicle wrecks Sunday evening after the rain started, and nearly that many Monday morning. Officials at Highway District 12 say motorists need to remember to slow down when driving on wet roads. In addition, Chief District Engineer Mary Westfall-Holbrook says as the weather cools down and we transition into fall, there is a list of road hazards drivers need to be mindful of.
