COLLEGE BASKETBALL: UPIKE men sweep Tennessee opponents

The University of Pikeville Bears will hit the road to face Shawnee State in Portsmouth, Ohio on Saturday.

UPIKE, now 14-9 overall, will look to run its winning streak to four games.

The Bears won road games in Tennessee this past week, taking down Tennessee-Southern and Cumberland University.

The Bears won their second straight close game, edging Tennessee-Southern, 72-69, in a game played in Pulaski, Tenn., on Saturday.

Korbin Spencer and Teddy Parham Jr. led the scoring with 20 points each. Jacob Brown followed with 15.

The Bears held off Cumberland University in the closing minute to earn a hard-fought 76-73 win on Thursday night.

Korbin Spencer fired in 22 points and Devin Collins added 14. Teddy Parham Jr. tallied 13 and Keian Worrix tossed in 11.
