A McCracken County inmate who allegedly recently escaped custody was captured in Johnson County.
According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Daniel Bell, who police say escaped custody in McCrackin County and who has ties in Johnson County, was arrested Tuesday. The arrest took place after after a pursuit on Route 321 in Johnson County, the sheriff’s office says.
Police say Bell walked off from a work-release program on Feb. 23.
Bell was allegedly arrested in possession of two firearms, the sheriff’s office says.
Officers with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, Prestonsburg Police Department, Kentucky State Police and Paintsville Police Department took part in the pursuit.
