HATFIELD, Ky. — A Belfry man has been arrested after he was accused of filming himself molesting three boys.

A Social Services special investigator requested a state trooper accompany her to a complaint at a home on Elkins Fork Thursday afternoon.

When they arrived, they found Robert Blankenship, 27, of Belfry, standing outside the home. After determining that he was not a parent or related to anyone in the home, they spoke to a 15-year-old, who said his parents had gone to pick up his brothers from school.

The teen then told the investigator and trooper that Blankenship had touched all three boys inappropriately and offered them sexual favors. He also showed the officials videos of Blankenship subjecting the boys to sexual contact and another video of Blankenship punching one of the boys in the face.

Blankenship was then arrested on three counts of attempted use of a minor under 16 in a sexual performance, three counts of harassment, and one count of indecent exposure. He is currently being held in the Pike County jail on a $250,000 cash bond.

SOUTH WILLIAMSON, Ky. — A Pike County man has been arrested for stalking and indecent exposure for an incident involving a juvenile back in the spring.

Joseph Newcomb, 33, of Belcher, was arrested on the charges Thursday for an incident back on May 1.

The arrest warrant alleges Newcomb followed the youth into the South Williamson McDonald’s restroom and was waiting for him when the boy exited a stall, exposing and touching himself. Afterwards, he is accused of following the child around the store until the juvenile left.

Both of the charges are misdemeanors, meaning Newcomb would not face more than a year in jail if convicted.

MOUTHCARD, Ky. — A Pike County man has been arrested for allegedly going onto a woman’s property and exposing himself.

Edward Scott, 62, of Mouthcard, has been charged with third-degree trespassing and first-degree indecent exposure.

According to the arrest warrant, Scott allegedly went onto a woman’s property, where he exposed and touched himself. The warrant notes that the entire incident was captured on security cameras installed on residence.

Scott was arrested the following morning. The charges are misdemeanors. He is being held in the Pike County jail.

ELKHORN CITY, Ky. — A Pike County man was arrested after he was reported to be naked outside Friday night.

Elkhorn City Police responded to an indecent exposure call just after 11 p.m. When they arrived, they found 22-year-old Jacob Tyler Clifton outside, putting his clothes back on.

When questioned, police say Clifton admitted to being naked outside, but he allegedly told them he was being chased by a bear at the time and had snakes in his pants.

Clifton was arrested on misdemeanor charges of public intoxication and indecent exposure.

PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pikeville man was taken to jail Tuesday, after a state trooper pulled him over and found him completely naked.

Police had been called about a naked man walking around his truck near the Pike County airport. When officers went to check it out, they saw the man swerving as the drove away.

The trooper pulled over the man — identified as 41-year-old Wesley Dean Lawson — and found him in the car naked, trying to stretch a shirt over himself as the officer approached the car. Lawson allegedly explained that he was naked because he had been having sex with a woman, and she must have taken his pants, but police were unable to locate any woman.

The trooper said he also spotted powder residue in Lawson’s nose and he failed a subsequent field sobriety test.

Lawson was arrested for DUI and indecent exposure.

MAN, W.Va. — A Logan County man was arrested after police received a call that he kicked open someone’s door and exposed himself to the people inside.

Deputies responded to the complaint against 35-year-old Jeremy Shawn Adkins just after 8 Tuesday morning. While they were on their way, they received another call that he attempted to get into another home.

Adkins was later arrested and charged with burglary, indecent exposure, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

WARFIELD, Ky. — A West Virginia man and woman were arrested, after multiple people reported seeing them having sex on the side of the road.

Callers reported the couple were located on Route 292 in Martin County, near the Pike County line, in the back seat of a car with the doors open. One caller reported the couple waved at him after he spotted.

Bobby Cantrell, 29, and Ladonna Jude, 33, both of Delbarton, were arrested and charged with first-degree indecent exposure.

PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Deputies responding to a report of a couple passed out at Shelby Valley High School discovered a half-naked woman when they arrived.

School officials called the Pike County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday afternoon to report that two people had been passed out in a car outside the school for a long time.

When deputies arrived, they found Lena Bevins, 34, and Alvin Damron, 38, both of Jonancy, sitting in the car, but Bevins was unclothed from the waist down.

The officers also reported finding meth, Xanax, a pipe and straws.

Both were charged with felony drug possession. Bevins is also charged with indecent exposure.

INEZ, Ky. — Deputies with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office had their hands full with a suspect Saturday night.

While taking 41-year-old Leslie Maynard to the sheriff’s office on an unrelated matter, officers say he suddenly ripped a metal sign off a wall, then took off his clothes and ran outside.

He was quickly arrested and placed in the back of a cruiser, but police say he then kicked out one of the vehicle’s windows.

He was then taken out of the vehicle, placed in shackles and made to sit on a curb, where he allegedly screamed at officers, telling them “the purge” was about to begin and everyone was going to die.

Maynard was charged with wanton endangerment, escape, indecent exposure and numerous other charges.

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — A Prestonsburg man who has been the subject of numerous complaints for walking naked through neighbors’ yards has been arrested.

Homeowners along Big Branch of Abbott had previously complained about the behavior of Charles Hamilton Jr., 30, of Sally Stephens Branch, and police say he was captured on security cameras walking through yards at times when children could be playing outside.

Police had contacted him once before to warn him not to do it again, but they say he returned to the neighborhood Oct. 16 and did it again.

Hamilton was arrested Wednesday night and charged with indecent exposure, disorderly conduct and menacing.
