FRANKFORT, Ky. — After announcing $1.5 million in grants for four Eastern Kentucky communities on Wednesday, Gov. Andy Beshear announced $2.3 million more for four more communities on Thursday.
The latest grants include:
- $1.5 million for Paintsville and Johnson County to expand sewer lines from the Paintsville wastewater treatment plant to another plant at the Honey Branch industrial site.
- $453,580 to Salyersville Water Works for sewer repairs and upgrades along Route 30.
- $248,955 to Floyd County for water line repairs and extensions at Estill Bottom.
- $153,846 for Harlan County to develop a natural gas utility to serve the Harlan County Business Park.
