59TH DISTRICT TOURNAMENT: East Ridge doubles up Jenkins to reach finals

Top-seeded East Ridge dominated from the very outset and the Warriors punched their ticket to the boys’ 59th District tournament championship game with an 80-40 win over Jenkins at T.W. Oliver Memorial Gymnasium on Monday night.

The Warriors, now 14-8 and headed to the 15th Region tournament next week, will face the winner between Pikeville ad Shelby Valley on March 18.

Hunter Damron poured in 17 points and Eli Rose followed with 11. Zack Mason scored 10 while Isaac Woods net nine and Brad Howell chipped in eight.

Austin Johnson scored a game-high 21 points for the Cavaliers, who season ended at 2-16. Keegan Bentley and Kolby Stewart tossed in eight each.
