Lexington priest pays more than $20,000 dollars in utility bills for out of work miners

On Monday, Lexington priest, Father Jim Sichko met with nearly 200 out of work miners and their families in Harlan County, and paid over $20,000 dollars of their utility bills.  Father Sichko said he heard about the layoffs and bounced checks from Blackjewell, LLC on Thursday, and immediately put a plan into motion.  Father Sichko says he raises the money himself for charity work such as this, receiving donations from people across the country.
