Ivel, Ky.– Deputies with the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department made a drug arrest at a motel in Ivel Sunday while conducting an investigation into the alleged theft of eight thousand dollars.
“We received a call in reference to some stolen money that happened last night and supposedly the subject who took the money was Kathy Mitchell who was located in the Alpike. I came down to the Alpike and made contact with Kathy and she invited me into the residence she ended up having the money along with some drug paraphernalia and she also had a controlled substance. She had four Gabapentin and then she had a syringe and the twenty-one hundred dollars was found under the mattress.”
Mitchell was charged with theft by unlawful taking, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and was lodged in the Floyd County detention Center.
