
BIG STONE GAP, Va. — Two southwestern Virginia men are facing federal charges related to meth trafficking in the region.
Justin Kyle Elliott, 32, and Randall Scott Hileman, 55, were indicted Wednesday by a federal grand jury in Big Stone Gap. Both men are charged with conspiracy to distribute more than 500 grams of meth, distributing meth and posssession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The crimes are alleged to have taken place between March 2021 and September of this year.
The investigation into the drug trafficking ring began after Elliott and another person were found passed out in a car in the drive-thru lane of Miners Exchange Bank in Coeburn.
Elliott is currently being held in the regional jail in Abingdon, while Hileman is currently being held in Duffield.
