Two Dickenson County residents named to Virginia boards

Tauna Gulley, nursing professor at the University of Pikeville, has been named to the Virginia Board of Nursing.

RICHMOND, Va. — Gov. Abigail Spanberger recently announced board appointments with two individuals representing Dickenson County.

“When I think about the more than 100 Virginians we’ve appointed to boards and commissions in just 60 days, I think about what they represent — wide-ranging professional experience, an unwavering commitment to their communities, and a willingness to serve their fellow Virginians at the highest standard,” Spanberger said. “I know these leaders will always put the Commonwealth first as we continue to focus on building a stronger future for Virginia students, families, and communities.”

The Dickenson County residents named to their respective boards include:

Board of Nursing
Tauna Gulley, Professor of Nursing, University of Pikeville

Breaks Interstate Park Commission
Richard Mullins, retired, Jewell Smokeless Coal (photo not available)

One other Southwest Virginia resident was named to the state’s Board of Education. Spanberger named Beth Rhinehart, of Bristol, president and CEO, Bristol Chamber of Commerce.
