PRESTONSBURG, Ky. — Many communities in Eastern Kentucky are looking for ways to improve their economies, following the loss of many coal jobs in recent years. The city of Prestonsburg went one step further in commissioning a study by the Kentucky League of Cities to get professional look at how to capitalize on strengths and address weaknesses.
