A look at a domestic violence shelter

MARTIN, Ky. — Victims of domestic violence can often find themselves trapped in a dangerous situation, simply because they have nowhere else to go. But one local agency is changing that. EKB News Reporter Shelby Porter tells us how.

On Saturday, Turning Point Domestic Violence Services is hosting a fundraiser. Volunteers will be at all Food City and Super Dollar Discount Stores in Floyd, Johnson and Pike Counties. The shelter is hoping to collect enough canned goods, cleaning products, and diapers to sustain the shelter for a year.
