A Mingo County woman is behind bars after stabbing a man

DELBARTON, W.Va. — A Mingo County woman is behind bars after allegedly stabbing a man for not giving her money. Police say 31-year-old Tiffany Dawn Ooten of Delbarton went to the home of Larry Miller, also in Delbarton, around 5:30 this morning and asked to borrow money. Miller reportedly refused and made her leave. Two hours later, Ooten returned. After Miller opened the door and turned around, Ooten allegedly cut Miller’s throat from behind and continued to stab and cut him. According to the police report, Miller then pushed Ooten out of the residence. Tiffany Ooten was arrested by the Mingo County Sheriff’s Office and charged with attempted murder, armed robbery and burglary. She is lodged in the Southwestern Regional Jail in Holden.
