Active shooter training in Pikeville

PIKEVILLE, Ky. –  Dozens of first responders gathered Wednesday at the East Kentucky Expo Center to wrap up a two-day active shooter training with multiple casualties.  The training was taught by members of Inez Fire and Rescue in Martin County. One scenario in particular was an active shooter scenario where someone opened fire at a public event, a situation every first responder hopes he or she will never encounter.  Twenty one first responders attended the training, including eight from the Pikeville Fire Department.
