As the government shutdown pushed into its 33rd day Wednesday and with no real end in sight, many companies are taking steps to help the 800,000 federal employees working without pay. That goes for one company in our area.

Appalachian Wireless customers affected by the partial shutdown are asked to contact their customer care department at 800-438-2355 to discuss payment extensions or fee waivers.

The department is open Monday through Friday from 7am until 7pm and Saturdays from 8am to 2pm.
