Appointments Announced To Breaks Interstate Park Commission

Frankfort, KY — Governor Matt Bevin has announced appointments to Kentucky Boards and Commissions. Locally, Eric Shane McPeek and Ira David Sanders have been appointed as members of the Breaks Interstate Park Commission. Eric Shane McPeek, of Dorton, is a business owner. He will serve for a term expiring Aug. 18, 2023; and Ira David Sanders, of Elkhorn City, is a retired mining engineer. He will serve for a term expiring Aug. 18, 2023. The Breaks Interstate Park Commission is a compact between the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the Commonwealth of Virginia in an agreement to create, develop, and operate The Breaks Interstate Park, located along the Russell Fork of the Levisa Fork of the Big Sandy River and on adjacent areas in Pike County, Kentucky, and Dickenson and Buchanan Counties, Virginia.
