COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Bears suffer setback to hot-shooting Lions

An early deficit was simply too much to overcome as the University of Pikeville Bears fell to Freed-Hardeman, 103-86, n a Mid-South Conference game played at the Appalachian Wireless Arena on Thursday night.

The Bears dropped to 506 overall and 3-5 in league play.

Taevon Horton paced four Bears to score n double figures with a game-high 27 points. Malcolm Green finished with 20 while Korbin Spencer net 17. Jamir Simpson chipped in 10.

UPIKE will be back in action against Bethel University (4-6) at 4 pm, Jan. 9.
