A Coeburn, Virginia man was convicted of felony murder in the death of his seven-week-old baby girl. 22-year-old Nicholas Logan Plaster entered an Alford plea Friday morning and faces up to 40 years in prison. The baby was pronounced deceased in June of this year at Mountain View Hospital in Norton. An autopsy indicated the child died from “injuries consistent with head trauma.” Authorities said Plaster admitted to dropping the baby numerous times. Sentencing for Plaster has been set for March 3, 2020.
