Pikeville, KY — An assault has landed a Pikeville woman in jail. Pikeville Police responded to the complaint on Phyllis Lane and according to the arrest citation, Officers found the victim, Darlene Hall who told them her daughter, 38-year-old Marlena L. Campbell, had assaulter her and choked her inside an apartment. Campbell had fled to a nearby apartment and as Officers approached, they could hear Campbell yelling and cursing other individuals as well as her mother. Officers conducted a search and found 4 pink pills believed to be Clonazepam inside her left pocket along with an Iphone. Hall had visible marks around her neck and face and stated that her daughter had stolen her Iphone. Campbell was arrested and charged with Assault 4th degree Domestic violence, Possession of Controlled Substance and Theft by Unlawful Taking and lodged in the Pike County Detention Center.
