No words can express the pain that one goes through when losing a child. The tragic loss of 6th grader Ayla Eastwood has brought our community together to create multiple fundraisers to assist her family during this difficult time. According to Executive Director of the East Kentucky Dream Center Rachel Campbell-Dotson, they have raised over $5,000 dollars and are continuing to receive monetary and household item donations such as cookware, beds, blankets, and clothes. ” That’s our motto…find a hurt and heal it.. find a need and fill it,” states Rachel Campbell-Dotson.
