Addiction affects everyone whether it’s directly or indirectly. Family members have been lost, friendships have been broken, and trust has been fractured through drug abuse. Mingo County Drug Court graduates prove that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and help is always around when you need it most. Graduates accepted certificates displaying their years clean of addiction and acceptance back into the community that they once may have harmed. Graduate Chris Chafin states that after 20 years or more of addiction, he is now the coach of his son’s baseball team and the community has been welcoming to him since recovery. Graduate Nick Lovich says that a strong support system is key and that if anyone is struggling with addiction, the first step is asking for help and you will receive it.
