Emergency Management officials encourage winter weather preparedness

PIKEVILLE, Ky. –  With the recent bitter cold temperatures now behind us and 60 degree temperatures in view, many people are looking ahead to spring.  But, emergency management officials are well aware that winter dangers are far from over. Pike County Emergency Management Director Doug Tackett says many of our worst snowstorms have hit in February and even March. He says now is the time to make sure your family and home are prepared.  Tackett says it’s also important to make sure your vehicle is prepared for winter driving conditions.
