Perry County, KY — Authorities are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Thursday in Perry County. According to the Perry County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies responded to a single vehicle crash on West Highway 80 near the Couchtown Road intersection. Preliminary investigation shows 61-year-old Frankie Crawford of Hazard was driving her vehicle eastbound toward Combs from exit 56. The vehicle lost control, leaving the roadway and striking a tree. Crawford was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Perry County Coroner’s Office. Investigating Deputies say that wet road conditions seem to be the contributing factor to the crash.
