Letcher County, Ky: A father and daughter arrested in what police called perhaps the biggest drug bust in Letcher County history were indicted this week. 62-year-old Danny Robert “Danny Bob” Collins, and his daughter, 36-year-old Samantha Collins, both of Mayking, were indicted on two charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, one charge for methamphetamine and the other for heroin. The pair were also charged with felony wanton endangerment, being persistent felony offenders and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The Collins’ were arrested March 12 after police executed a search warrant at Danny Collins’ residence and allegedly found him in possession of approximately four pounds of crystal methamphetamine and 10 grams of heroin. The total street value of the drugs was estimated at approximately $200,000. The Letcher County Sheriff’s Department called the bust perhaps the largest drug seizure in Letcher County’s history.
