Drift, Ky- A house fire is devastating for any family taking from the everything they own, their furniture ,their clothes, the roof over their heads. That’s exactly what happened to a Floyd county family in the Drift community early Monday morning and now they’re asking for your help.

“Me and my little brother were sitting in our room, we were watching TV and he came in the living room to get his truck and he came back in there and told me the kitchen was on fire and I walked in there to see what he was talking about and the entire kitchen was engulfed in flames so I immediately picked him up and ran out of the house. My Pa-paw, he’s dead, he was in the army and he had a flag, and we lost it in the fire we lost all of our clothes all of my pictures of my brother that was in the army, all the pictures we had when we were babies. Its been pretty bad we lost everything and were having to start over but its making us stronger for what the future throws at us.”
