FLOYD COUNTY, KY. — A Floyd County man is in jail following a high-speed chase in Garrett, Kentucky.
On Monday, June 28th at approximately 5 o’ clock PM, Floyd County Constable Gary Nelson says he was patrolling the Garrett community when he received a complaint regarding a vehicle driving reckless and at a high-speed near West Garrett Road.
Constable Nelson later located the vehicle in the middle of the roadway. While activating his emergency lights and sirens, the car began to flee.
After leading multiple police agencies through West Garrett Road then onto KY-80 towards Knott County, the driver of the vehicle crashed into a guardrail near the Floyd County line.
Police say the operator allegedly fled on foot after the crash and was tased.
David V. Hall, 52 of Chaffins Branch Road was arrested for several outstanding warrants and traffic charges including operating on a suspended license and fleeing or evading police.
After Hall was tased, police transported him to Martin ARH hospital where he was medically cleared and later lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.
