Martin County bounced back from its road loss at Magoffin County and playing with backup quarterback Jason Maynard under center grinded their way to a 14-10 win over host Bath County on Friday night.

Running back Branson Smith rushed 11 times for 81 yards and one touchdown and Maynard passed for 123 yards and one score. Kolby Sparks added 56 yards on 10 rushes.

Receiver Parker Davis caught four passes for 91 yards and one touchdown.

The Cardinals finished with 303 yards.

Martin County, now 2-1, will host East Ridge (0-3) on The Rock on Oct. 2. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
