Defending Class 3A champion Belfry dominated Magoffin County from start to finish as the Pirates rolled to a 59-20 victory on the road Friday night.

Running back Isaac Dixon rushed eight times for 255 yards and four rushing touchdowns as Belfry improved to 21. He also hauled in a 35-yard TD pass and returned a kickoff 90 yards for his sixth score

Kyle Webb added 55 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Quarterback Brett Coleman passed for 88 yards and two touchdowns.

Hornet quarterback Lucas Litteral passed for 229 yards and two touchdowns in the loss. Brandon Standifer had 118 yards receiving.

Both teams are back in action on Oct. 2 as the Pirates host Floyd Central (2-1) while the Hornets host Lawrence County (0-0). Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.
