HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL: Pikeville goes 1-2 in All A pool play; JC plays long ball

Pikeville playing short-handed dropped two of three games in the All A Classic tournament, including Sunday’s 3-2 loss to Bethlehem in Owensboro.

Losing pitcher Emily Ford had two hits and drove in one run while Isabelle Rose singled and scored. Kelcie Adams scored one run as the Lady Panthers fell to 14-7.

Pikeville rallied to score three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to slip past Hickman County, 7-6, late Saturday night in the All A Classic state tournament played at Owensboro.

Winning pitcher Emily Ford belted a home run and drove in two runs while scoring twice as the Lady Panthers improved to 14-6. Shana Ray added two singles and batted in two runs while Olivia Hall had two hits, scored twice, and added an RBI.
