Impromptu Drug Arrests

Logan County, WV — Two observant Chapmanville Police Officers arrested four people on various drug charges. According to authorities, Officers Stapleton and Sammons were on patrol as they noticed an unusual amount of people coming out of an apartment on Tomblin Drive. When the Officers knocked on the door and spoke with the tenant, Amber Caldwell when they noticed drug paraphernalia inside the apartment. Caldwell gave the officers consent to a search and officers found several pills along with 3 bags of Meth and $1,827.00 in cash. Caldwell along with three other individuals, 35-year-old Michael Sidney of Omar, 26-year-old Sheila Frye of Chapmanville and Jeffery Maynard of Chapmanville, who were also in the apartment. Sidney and Frye remain lodged in the Southwestern Regional Jail while Caldwell and Maynard have been released.
