Jail ramping up efforts combating contraband

PRESTONSBURG, KY.–Crime and addiction can lead a person to jail, but those problems aren’t over when a judge delivers a sentence. Jailer Stuart “Bear” Halbert and his staff at the Floyd County Detention Center are combating an issue that all jails are facing…the contraband issue. EKB News Reporter Shawn Allen paid a visit to the jail this week where he was shown the contraband they have confiscated in just the past year.
