PAINTSVILLE, Ky. — Students, faculty and staff, community members and parents celebrated Tuesday at Johnson County Middle School in Paintsville.

The Johnson County Middle School Academic Team won it’s 15th Governor’s Cup championship in March. There were over 350 teams competing starting at the district level and the middle school came out on top. The school waited until after testing was completed before honoring the team.

This is the 7th consecutive year the Johnson County Middle School Academic Team has brought home the title.
