Kmart will pay the state of Kentucky 415 thousand dollars to settle allegations the company over billed the state and federal Medicaid programs over a 10-year period. However, while customers paying cash got that price, Kmart continued to bill Medicaid the previous higher price of the drugs. Kentucky’s Medicaid program will receive 100 thousand dollars out of the settlement. The remainder will go to the federal government.
