The Letcher Circuit Clerk’s office will expand its hours of operation this weekend.

Circuit Clerk Larry Adams told EKB News the driver’s licensing division of the clerk’s office will now be open on Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon to better serve Letcher County residents. Adams said the new hours of operation are thanks largely to his staff, who volunteered to work during the expanded hours.

Adams also took the opportunity to remind folks not only in Letcher County, but everywhere in Kentucky, to be sure to check the expiration date on their driver’s licenses. He said the state no longer issues reminders that licenses are about to expire.

Again, the driver’s license division of the Letcher County Circuit Clerk’s Office will be open Saturdays from 9 a.m. until noon beginning this Saturday.  Adams said those hours could expand in the near future if necessary
