Martin County, KY — A Martin County man was arrested after trying to flee from police. According to the arrest citation, Martin County Sheriff Deputies responded to a complaint about a man running into an apartment. Deputies say the man, 48-year-old Edgar Jude of Inez, was spotted running away. Jude fell on the ground and became combative and would not comply with orders to put his arms behind his back. Deputies had to force Jude to comply. Deputies found a spoon and three syringes in a bag he was carrying. Jude told deputies he was using it to shoot up suboxone. Jude was arrested and charged with public intoxication, fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia and lodged in the Big Sandy Detention Center.
