Man facing drug trafficking charges after being found passed out in vehicle

HARDY, Ky. –  Police stopped to check on a vehicle parked on the side of the roadway but ended up arresting a Pike County man. It happened Sunday evening on Kentucky 319 in Hardy. Kentucky State Police found the driver of the vehicle, 31-year-old Jonah Lester of Stopover, passed out and difficult to wake up. Once the trooper was able to wake Lester up, he failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. According to the arrest citation, the trooper found approximately two ounces of a white crystal substance which Lester admitted was meth, as well as a 12 guage shotgun, five hundred dollars, drug paraphernalia, suboxone, and several unknown pills.  He was lodged in the Pike County Detention Center on trafficking and drug charges and for carrying a concealed weapon.
