PIKEVILLE, Ky. – A Pike County man indicted last year on first degree sodomy charges of a child younger than 12, has pleaded guilty in Pike Circuit Court. 24 year old Quentin Deshon Reed Little of Pikeville was originally facing the possibility of life in prison after a Pike Grand Jury indicted him on a first degree sodomy charge, a Class A felony. According to prosecutors in the case, Little engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with a child over Thanksgiving weekend of 2017. However, Little recently pleaded guilty to first degree sexual abuse, a Class C felony, just days before his trial was scheduled to begin. Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney, Melissa Goodman says the decision to allow Little to plead to a lesser charge was difficult, but it was the decision that was right for the young victim and her family. Little will be sentenced on June 26th, and faces the possibility of 20 years in prison.
