Mingo County’s COVID-19 case count has now reached 30.
According to a statement from the Mingo County Health Department, two new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed over the weekend. Late Friday night, a 45-year-old symptomatic male became the county’s 27th lab-confirmed COVID-19 patient, and on Saturday, a 15-year-old symptomatic female became the county’s 28th confirmed case. The health department says both are isolating at home.
The new cases, coupled with two previous “probable” cases, raise Mingo County’s COVID-19 case total to 30. According to the health department, as of Sunday, there had been 1,913 total COVID-19 tests performed in Mingo County, which currently has 9 active cases.
