More charges filed in child sex trafficking case

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A man and woman accused of child sex trafficking in Mingo County now face more charges, after a superseding indictment was handed down in the case yesterday.

Misty Dawn Baisden, 30, of Delbarton, and David Wayne Young, 47, of Ashland, were initially charged with sexual exploitation of children, coercion of a female, two counts of child sex trafficking, and two counts of activities constituting child pornography. The new indictment adds additional counts of child sex trafficking and sexual exploitation of children.

The incidents are alleged to have happened March 19th and 20th at Delbarton and involved one child under the age of 18 and another under the age of 14.

Baisden and Young are scheduled to be arraigned on the new charges in two weeks.
