Williamson, WV — The severe thunderstorms that rolled through the region yesterday that resulted in the death of a Pikeville resident, 62 year old Michael Coleman in Prestonsburg, also rolled through portions of West Virginia. Mingo County Officials report that one business and multiple vehicles suffered damage as the storms moved through Williamson. The Williamson Police Department reports the roof of Dandy’s bar was blown off and onto Court Street where it landed onto two vehicles. No injuries were reported in that incident. The National Weather Service Office in Jackson says thunderstorms will be possible again through the afternoon today. Some of these storms could produce strong wind gusts.
