Oil Springs KY – A murder investigation is underway after a woman is found dead in Johnson County.

It happened Monday night at a home on Kentucky Route 825 in Oil Springs.

Kentucky State Police received information that a female may be deceased inside the home. During their investigation, 27-year-old female Mandy Lemay from Oil Springs was found dead from a gunshot.

KSP arrested 50-year-old Paul Lemay from Oil Springs. He is in the Big Sandy Detention Center facing murder charges.

The case remains under investigation.
