Last week, we brought you the news that Pike County Deputy Judge Executive Brian Morris had been appointed to serve as Pike County Jailer, after current Jailer Freddie Lewis tendered his resignation.  And, this morning, during the Pike County Fiscal Court meeting, Morris’s replacement as Deputy Judge Executive was named.  And, it is Pikeville Attorney and former State Representative Herbie Deskins.   Morris takes over as Pike County Jailer on November first, but Deskins assumed the position of Deputy Judge Executive effective today.
